What is Genital Aesthetics?

Genital aesthetic surgery, also known as genital aesthetics, refers to aesthetic operations performed on the vagina area to help women feel good both psychologically and physically. It is a plastic surgical treatment preferred by individuals of all genders, ages, and backgrounds, although it is more commonly chosen by women. Genital aesthetic procedures aim to improve the parts of the genital region that patients want to change and are dissatisfied with in terms of appearance. These procedures are used to correct both acquired and congenital shape abnormalities in the genital area.

Some of the genital aesthetic surgeries include labiaplasty (inner labia aesthetics), hymenoplasty (temporary or permanent repair of the hymen), clitoral hood reduction (clitoral hoodoplasty), genital bleaching to lighten the darkened genital area, vaginoplasty (surgical tightening and rejuvenation of the vagina), labia majora tightening and augmentation, removal of childbirth scar tissue, perineoplasty (solution for aesthetic issues between the anus and vagina known as the perineum), labia majora augmentation with fillers, puboplasty (aesthetic surgery for the lower pubic region known as the mons pubis), and G-spot augmentation.

These surgeries help increase women's self-confidence and support their enjoyment of sexual intercourse. Genital shape abnormalities primarily lead to a lack of self-confidence. Additionally, they can negatively impact a woman's sexual life and daily routine. Over time, serious problems such as decreased sexual desire, discharge, or anxiety during intercourse may arise.
